This Privacy Policy describes how Voile ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

Our Privacy-First Principle

VOILE is designed so that your original photos stay on your phone. When you scan or select a photo of a clothing item, the garment is identified and isolated on your device. Only the isolated garment image (with any person, face, and background removed) and small pieces of technical metadata may ever be sent to our servers — and only to provide the features you request. We never upload, store, or process your original gallery photos, and our systems are built to automatically reject them.

Information We Collect

Device Permissions

We request access to certain device features to provide the App's core functionality:

• Camera: We use the camera to allow you to scan clothing items for the "Magic Scan" feature and to take photos of your wardrobe.
• Photo Library: We access your photo library to allow you to upload existing photos of your clothing. These photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded.
• Location: We may request access to your location to provide localized weather forecasts for outfit recommendations.

Personal Information

We may collect the following personal information if you choose to provide it in your profile:

• Name
• Age
• Gender
• Height and Weight
• Phone Number

Garment Images We Process

When you add an item to your digital wardrobe:

• The garment crop (the clothing item with background and person removed) may be sent to our servers to generate the catalog-style studio image stored in your wardrobe and to analyze fabric, pattern, and category.
• These processed garment images are stored only in your account, for your wardrobe.
• We do not log or retain the images you send beyond what is needed to provide the feature.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Your original photos (including any faces, people, or home interiors visible in them).
• We do not sell your personal data or garment data to third parties.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
• Personalize your experience (e.g., outfit recommendations based on weather and body type).
• Process your wardrobe items using our AI/ML features.

Any future features that share insights derived from your wardrobe (for example, an optional style profile shared with platforms you choose) will be strictly opt-in, clearly disclosed, and revocable at any time.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Your Choices

• You can delete individual wardrobe items (and their stored garment images) at any time from within the App.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
